I’m Nikita Rana, a corporate emcee in mumbai, and one of the most fascinating shifts in live business events today is the growing conversation around artificial intelligence and audience engagement. Mumbai’s leadership forums increasingly ask whether AI can replicate the instinct, timing, and emotional reading that define strong stage moderation. Those questions shaped one of the most thought provoking assignments I have hosted this year.
The discussion later gained wider visibility through BW Businessworld after my exchange around “Can AI Replace The Emcee?”. The assignment evolved through conversations with Shri. Mr. Annurag Batra, Chairman and Editor in Chief, Mr. Ruhail Amin, Senior Editor at BW Businessworld and exchange4media, and Ms. Mahek Asghar, Editor and Writer at BW Businessworld. Their editorial curiosity expanded a live conversation into a larger industry reflection.
As an anchor in mumbai, I have learned that audiences rarely respond only to information. They respond to pacing, silence, transitions, and the confidence with which difficult questions are handled in real time. That human calibration still shapes every room. A professional emcee may prepare a script, but the real work begins once the audience reacts to it.
Moments like these continue to reaffirm why organisations invest in thoughtful moderation and meaningful dialogue design. Whether it is corporate event anchoring, executive conversations, or live audience engagement, the responsibility goes beyond introductions. It becomes about creating clarity inside complex conversations without losing the human connection that makes business communication memorable.
