Anchoring isn’t just about holding the mic, it’s about holding the room 🎤
Being invited as a guest speaker and felicitated at Sri Jayendra Saraswathy Vidyalaya reminded me that an event emcee can become a bridge between academia and industry.
In the presence of Asia’s largest IEEE platform, ICCNT, the connection became clear. Dr. Prakash Duraisamy, the intellectual property owner of ICCNT, carries his roots from Sri Saraswathy College. That anchor line is what brought us into this school program — a moment where my presence as an mc in mumbai translated into a conversation of futures for students who needed to see what lies beyond conventional career paths.
The Career Counselling Program on 21 August 2025 gathered a remarkable line-up of voices. Prof. Dr. Shantanu Bhowmik of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, author and entrepreneur Prachi Garg, Major Madhan Kumar, and Mr. Aditya Guruji all brought dimensions of clarity. Standing among them, I carried my credential as corporate emcee to India’s top CEOs, and in that mirror moment revealed how communication and adaptability are as much career skills as technical expertise.
The felicitation was more than symbolic. It reminded me why anchors for events matter in institutional contexts. The gesture from the school was less about me and more about the audience — a signal to students that careers are not linear, that presence itself can be a profession. Their applause, their questions, their curiosity, all reinforced why an emcee host is not entertainment alone but a catalyst for dialogue.
