Diwali this year wasn’t a stage; it was a studio. When BW Businessworld reached out for their Diwali edition, I answered as an event emcee who spent the festival under key lights, not diyas, and found that focus can be its own kind of celebration.

The camera crew moved like clockwork and my outfit—stitched from my mother’s saree—held the brief together: modern lens, traditional spine. Being a corporate emcee means translating intent into presence, so I documented what mattered: a team that could hear meaning in silence and make space for it on tape.

On set with Gucci India, we didn’t chase spectacle; we dialed in on clarity. I nudged the room to trade louder for truer, letting small decisions redirect the frame. That is the quiet power an emcee host brings to a shoot that has more purpose than pyrotechnics.

Off-camera, the most honest note was human: missing family while still feeling held by a work family, the kind that adjusts a mic and, in the same breath, keeps your resolve steady.
