I’m Nikita Rana, a corporate emcee in mumbai, and this moment unfolded at IIT Indore during ICCCNT, Asia’s largest IEEE conference. The audience was academic, the setting formal, and I was present as a corporate event host responsible for flow and continuity. What I did not anticipate was becoming part of the moment myself.

The honour was presented to me by Dr. Prakash Duraisamy from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. As I stepped forward, his words carried warmth and ease, followed by applause that was unplanned and genuine. The exchange reminded me that anchoring corporate event environments often blurs into participation, especially when trust has already been built on stage.

As an anchor in mumbai, I usually focus on creating comfort for others. That evening, I experienced it from the other side. The dignity of the gesture, the shared smiles, and the room’s response reflected a mutual respect that goes beyond roles. This is the unseen layer of professional event host work, where presence earns recognition without being sought.

My sincere thanks to the organising team for creating an environment where such moments could exist naturally. I appreciate Dr. Murugesan Govinthasamy, Dr. Valaramathi, Dr. Tripty Singh, Major Madhan K., Ms. Manjula Naidu, Ms. Prachi Garg, Mr. Hari, Mr. Maheswaran S., and Mr. Manikandan for their trust and precision.

If you are looking to hire anchor for event formats that value credibility, restraint, and mutual respect, this is the standard I uphold as a corporate mc.
