The honor of stepping into Oriental University carried the quiet gravitas that education institutions hold when their legacy is built on consistency, not noise. As event emcee in Mumbai for gatherings of thought leaders and innovators, I’ve seen that excellence leaves its own fragrance in the air — and here, it was unmistakable. The Oriental Group, known since 1995 for academic distinction, extended that culture of trust to every guest and delegate. Even as I was felicitated on stage, what resonated most was the university’s intent: to celebrate intellect, not status.
When the founder of ICCCNT 2025, Dr. Prakash Duraisamy, shared his reflections on Asia’s largest IEEE conference, the room leaned in. His insight — that innovation and humility must coexist — reminded me why anchors for events often become translators of energy. Each pause, each acknowledgment, was an invisible bridge between academia and aspiration. In that shared space, being a corporate emcee felt like being part of a collective rhythm of progress that began long before I arrived and will continue long after.
Later, as the felicitation concluded and the applause softened, I noticed something subtle yet profound — the students’ eyes followed every movement, not because of titles but because of intent. Those moments reminded me that the best event anchor in India doesn’t simply hold a microphone; they hold silence until it speaks. From handshake to handshake, Oriental University became a mirror reflecting the promise of what learning can still mean in a distracted world. For me as an emcee India professional, that reflection is where purpose finds its form.
Honored gratitude to Dean (Academics) Garima Thakral ma’am for the warmth and meticulous organization, and to Dr. Prakash Duraisamy, Dr. Murugesan Govinthasamy, Dr. Garima Thakral, Dr. Valaramathi, Dr. Tripty Singh, Major Madhan K, Ms. Manjula Naidu, Ms. Prachi Garg (CSM, SAFe Agilist), Mr. Hari, Mr. Maheswaran S., and Mr. Manikandan for making the Oriental University, Indore program possible.
